ORIGINAL ANTIQUE FOLIO LITHOGRAPH: 29 1/2" X 24"
Framed and matted professionally with 2 acid free mats, one of them hand painted French style with intricate details. The unique frame is also hand painted and signed by the artist. These prints are seen selling elsewhere on the internet for a lot more unframed per litho and this one is double matted and framed and ready to go!.
NOT A REPRODUCTION
Printed on heavy paper, these beautiful full page and very large folios lithographs are breathtaking. These plates offer a delightful insight of 19th century. Good condition but for some very very limited foxing, normal for a print this old. I see.2 spots hardly noticeable.
Colors (still so rich) and expressions are priceless, classic example of Currier and Ives. Notice the cane, necklace, doll and leaves. This is a very early piece and an original lithograph looking exceptional professionally framed in a unique hand-painted frame, with 2 mats, one hand painted as well. The title is imprinted in the lithograph but difficult to read but the left corner imprinted reads Currier and Ives and the rich corner 152 Nassau St, New York which dates this to 1857.
The research I found on this has been that is from the late 1850’s and I have seen such listed in the hundreds to thousands of dollars, especially in this large size 20” x 16” for the print alone. You can see the workmanship on this original lithograph.
Young girl dressed in white dress looking directly at viewer. She is holding a doll in a blue dress in her proper left hand and a cane in her proper right hand. Title is in white letters with no outlining.
Matted with 2 acid free mats and framed professionally. This is reduced a great deal since we just closed our art gallery and are liquidating what is left.
The print is an original and huge!
This is a real bargain, and ready to go!
It makes a great gift for collectors of rare prints.
