Hardcover leather bound 17 volumes set books titled:  RIDPATH’S UNIVERSAL HISTORY By John Clark Ridpath. Published by The Jones Brothers Publishing Company.  The spines are in good shape for their age but some of the spines' leather cosmetic coverings are missing, normal wear for spines over 100 years old. Look at photos carefully, as I said, parts of some spines' leather is missing but books hold well together, as under the spine leather coverings, the pages are still solidly bound to the beige  under-binding which is solid too. Pages and pictures look really nice, great condition, books may not even have been used so the only thing that needs fixing is some of the spines. Profusely illustrated with colored plates, race maps & sharts, type pictures, sketches and diagrams.

ITALIAN  FLORENTINE MARBLING MOTIFS ON THE INSIDES OF THE BOOK COVERS AND EDGE OF PAGES, 18 C. PATTERN BASED PAPER MARBLED ON LAID, ANTIQUE, HANDMADE LINEN RAG PAPER, AND GILT-EDGED PAGES.
