The women created these necklaces to wear or sell on the markets of Kalimantan. Beads were always considered to have magical properties as well as a monetary value.

Talisman Necklace with large amber beads, old hand crafted glass trade beads, and a hand carved Asian water buffalo bone effigy pendant, representing  a protective ancestor that will insure prosperity, good health and good luck to the bearer, Dayak Tribe, Borneo.
