This is a bargain for 2 one of a kind eclectic unique hand crafted necklaces, hand crafted by tribes From Borneo (Kalimantan).
Carved effigy pendants, representing 3 Ancestors: Great Condition.
The Primitive Tribal Orang Ulu, Iban and Dayak women created these necklaces to wear or sell on the markets of Kalimantan. Beads were always considered to have magical properties as well as a currency value.
1 Talisman Necklace with old hand crafted glass trade beads, metal beads and 3 water buffalo bone hand carved protective ancestors that will insure prosperity, good health and good luck to the bearer: One ancestor is completely dressed in feathers, either representing a festival he used to participate in as an important member of the community, of for the fact he passed away and morphed into a bird and watches over the ornament owner in the sky. The others are normal protective ancestors with the same attributes. Each of them protects the tribal member by shielding him from all dangers that surrounds him, such as evil souls lurking in the forest. Dayak Tribe, Borneo. All handmade. Collected in Indonesia.
